Driver’s Checklist: A Quick Guide to Fast EV Charging

The automotive industry is becoming electrified. EV charging car has increased 10 times over the past four years, and EV charging car sales will increase 14 times in the next decade. As the adoption of EVs grows, so is the number of charging stations. There are thousands of electric car charging stations across the country that offer different types of charging at different speeds, so EV drivers can keep charging wherever they go.

The details of charging an electric car may seem a bit complicated. But there is good news: you don't need to know the amount of electricity that the electric car is charging. It's like you don't need to know the difference between all conventional fuels, fueled fuels and premium gas fuels to fuel the internal combustion engine - only you need to know what type of gasoline the car needs. Electric cars are also very simple. Here is a quick overview of how different types of electric car charging work, so you can plug in the confidence you need when you need it next time.

Even if you don't know, it's very likely that you will often see a lot of charging cars or computers. Just plug in your device and start your day. EV charging is similar. It connects the battery in the car to the power source to charge. There are many things happening behind the scenes, but as an EV driver, you don't have to worry.

Most power outlets use AC or AC power. The battery is usually charged with DC, or DC. This means that the partial charging process involves converting the AC to DC. There are three main types of EV charging: Level 1, Level 2 and DC Fast. Levels 1 and 2 use the onboard converter in the EV to convert the AC to DC. Each car is an onboard converter with a specific limit on its charging speed. When using DC fast charging, a switching station from AC to DC occurs during charging, not in the EV. This allows the radio to provide more power and charge the vehicle faster.
